About Ana Maria
Ana Maria is a Peruvian immigrant of Spanish descent, entrepreneur, creative designer, multimedia artist, and founder of Avello Rescue, a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to animal rescue and rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping animals and supporting local shelters, and is currently working with shelter partners to modernize their systems and improve volunteer and foster coordination through innovative technology projects.
Blending creativity with compassion, Ana creates artwork, hosts Paint & Sip fundraising events throughout Northern Virginia, and participates in art exhibitions to raise awareness and support for animal welfare. She is also the author of Panda’s Big Heart, a children’s book inspired by her adopted deaf French Bulldog, Panda.
Through her art, technology, and advocacy, Ana’s mission is to inspire compassion, strengthen local communities, and create a brighter future for animals in need.
