About Avello Rescue

About Ana

Ana is an entrepreneur, creative designer, and multimedia artist whose work blends art, storytelling, and animal welfare advocacy. Her mission is to use creativity to inspire compassion and raise awareness for animals in need. From a young age, Ana had a deep love for both art and animals. After many years working in the IT field, she decided to pursue more creative and purpose-driven endeavors. She began volunteering with several nonprofit organizations, including Centreville Immigration Forum and animal welfare groups such as PETA, ASPCA, ODHS, and SFC. Seeing firsthand how many animals needed help, Ana began fostering dogs from local shelters. What started as fostering soon grew into something much bigger. She created a safe haven and rehabilitation sanctuary where dogs could recover and prepare for loving homes. In 2024, she founded Avello Rescue, a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to animal rescue, rehabilitation, and advocacy.

Ana later combined her passion for art with her mission to help animals by participating in art expos and craft fairs where she sells her artwork and handmade jewelry to raise funds for rescue efforts.

In 2025, Ana published her first children’s book, Panda’s Big Heart, inspired by a rescue dog she adopted, a deaf French Bulldog named Panda. She also hosts paint workshops throughout Northern Virginia, including events at Bike TrAles Brewing in Leesburg. Her artwork has been featured at venues including Bull Run Winery, WineStyles, Espresso Alexandria, Shop Made in VA, and LMAC. Ana also participates in major animal welfare events such as Super Pet Expo and Pet Palooza to help raise awareness about fostering, volunteering, and adoption. She has also been invited to schools and community venues for book readings, including Possum-abilities, PWC Public Schools, and Ebenezer Elementary, where she inspires children through art and compassion for animals.

Today, Ana runs and operates her private animal sanctuary while continuing to create new artwork and participate in local art events, exhibitions, and commissions. Through her creative work, she hopes to inspire compassion, raise awareness for animals in need, and bring art and community together.
